Twekembe Development Organization

Twekembe Development Organization Empowering people in rural communities. We started serving the unemployed youth. We are currently working with the youth in Mukono district Uganda.

Twekembe Development Organization was formed in 2013 with a SACCO at the fower front under the youth empowerment laws governing SACCO'S in Uganda. The idea was developed in November 2012 to increase the youth's access to affordable and manageable credit facilities. During our meeting in November 2012 we recognized the problem facing local youth in accessing loans from the banks that have restrict

ed terms and conditions that can not be met by the youth in our communities, because of the high poverty rates that prevail in most of the African countries we came up with away that could prevail liable and affordable loans and also saving knowledge among the youth. Meetings and outreaches have been carried out by the staff to en-light most of the youth in Mukono how savings and loan schemes can improve their standards of leaving.
