One of the Tanzanian powerful pastors has passed on.

Pastor Peter Mitimingi of Warehouse Christian Centre (WCC) passed on Sunday afternoon at Muhimbili National Hospital in Tanzania.

Pastor Peter Mitimingi is a celebrated preacher known for his wonderful teachings on several topics, ranging from dating, marriage among others.

One of his recent messages shared on his social media platforms was a COVID-19 message, where he urged Tanzanian leaders, political and religious leaders, to give a message of hope amid the deadly diseases and not planting a seed of fear among the citizens.

In a video he shared on Instagram on 28 April, he urged leaders to preach hope and believe in God for COVID-19 to end.

"I want to urge the leaders, all the leaders, that we focus on teaching Tanzanians about this COVID-19. I have realized some leaders are scaring Tanzanians, the biggest task of a leader is to show hope, showing how secure our people are.

"We should always give hope regardless of the situation because we believe in God and He is going to end this COVID-19," said the preacher.

Sources close to the deceased say the preacher had diabetes. The sources added that he was rained on while in Arusha which resulted in pneumonia and eventually death.

“Yeye alikuwa anaumwa Sukari ilipanda, ikaanza homa ya mapafu kwasababu alikuwa Arusha akapigwa na mvua kukawa na baridi kali hiyo hali ikamsumbua na kupelekea kufariki “ said junior preacher at the same church, Samweli, who spoke to Millard Ayo TV, which loosely translates to (He was suffering from diabetes, he was then rained on while in Arusha which led to pneumonia and then he died|)

However, until writing this, a medical report on his death is not yet shared with the public.

It should be noted that COVID-19 and pneumonia have got similar signs. Doctors across the world have been treating pneumonia only for them to realize the disease was COVID-19.

This happened at Kenyatta National Hospital where a 2 -year-old baby boy was being treated for pneumonia only for doctors to realize it was COVID-19 after his death.

Tanzania President John Magufuli faults Covid-19 testing kits donated to Africans...Claims some are fake.

He says animal, bird and fruit samples secretly sent to the Country's laboratory returned positive for the coronavirus - including a bird, a goat and pawpaw.

Magufuli, whose government has already drawn criticism for being secretive about the coronavirus outbreak and has previously asked Tanzanians to pray the coronavirus away, said the kits had “technical errors”.

“We extracted a sample from a goat which turned positive. This tells you that something is not adding up. Are we now supposed to quarantine goats and fruits?” President Magufuli posed.

The Covid-19 testing kits had been imported from abroad, Magufuli said, although he did not give further details.

“There is something happening. I said before we should not accept that every aid is meant to be good for this nation,” said Magufuli.

The Tanzanian leader, who has been governing from his rural home in Chato since the onset of the pandemic, urged citizens to exercise caution, but downplayed the severity of the disease saying it could be managed without disrupting the country’s economy.

DON'T PULL OVER
A lady was driving along with her father. They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What should I do?"
He said "keep driving"..
Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm was getting worse.
"What should I do."
The young lady asked?
"Keep driving," her father replied.
On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling over.
She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead. It is terrible, and everyone is pulling over!"
Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"
Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was again on dry land, and the sun came out.
Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out."
She said "But why now?"
He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up and are still in the storm, because you never gave up, your storm is now over.
This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times".
Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up.
You don't have to...if you keep going, soon your storm will be over and the sun will shine upon your face again.
