Madrasat Hamuza Primary School Launches Vision Group’s Bukedde Pass PLE Program and Club
MBARARA – 3rd July 2025 — In a major step toward academic excellence, Madrasat Hamuza Primary School in Mbarara officially launched the Vision Group’s Bukedde Pass PLE program and Club at a colourful ceremony held at the school premises on Thursday, 3rd July 2025.
The launch marks a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to elevating the academic performance of its Primary Seven pupils as they prepare for the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
About the Bukedde Pass PLE Program
Bukedde Pass PLE is an initiative by Vision Group aimed at boosting learners' academic performance by providing weekly trial exam questions, answer guides, and structured revision materials aligned with UNEB standards. The program runs through pull-outs in Bukedde newspaper every Monday and Thursday and is further enhanced through Pass PLE Clubs in schools, where learners receive guided coaching, participate in quizzes, and track syllabus coverage effectively. It is widely recognized as one of Uganda’s leading academic support programs for primary school candidates.
A Fully Sponsored Effort by Mr. Ssekandi Razak Banks
The program at Madrasat Hamuza Primary School has been fully sponsored by Mr. Ssekandi Razak Banks, the Chairman of the School Management Committee, whose vision is to position the school among the best-performing primary schools in the South Western region and Uganda at large.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ssekandi emphasized that his aim is to empower both teachers and pupils with tools that not only prepare learners for exams but also instill academic confidence and competition.
“By introducing the Bukedde Pass PLE program here, we are laying a strong foundation for excellence. Madrasat Hamuza deserves to shine nationally,” he said.
Vision Group Pledges Continued Support
The event was graced by Mr. Geoffrey Byamugisha, the Vision Group’s Circulation Manager for the Western Region, who commended the school’s leadership for embracing the program.
“We thank Madrasat Hamuza for opening its doors to Bukedde Pass PLE. We are confident this partnership will significantly boost performance, and Vision Group is committed to walking this journey with you,” Mr. Byamugisha assured.
Head Teacher Welcomes the Initiative
The school’s Head Teacher, Mrs. Birungi Zurah, warmly welcomed the program, noting that it aligns perfectly with the school’s academic goals.
“This program comes at the right time. It will enhance our syllabus coverage, boost learner confidence, and improve our question-answering skills. Vision Group’s Pass PLE is one of the most impactful educational initiatives in Uganda today,” she remarked.
Looking Ahead
With the launch now official, pupils at Madrasat Hamuza will begin benefiting from the rigorous weekly exercises, expert guidance, and peer learning sessions through their newly established Pass PLE Club. The school community is optimistic that the initiative will yield higher academic achievements in the forthcoming national exams.
This partnership between Vision Group, the school leadership, and the community through Mr. Razak Ssekandi sets a strong precedent for education-focused development and commitment to excellence.
