SWICCO Institute of Management and Development (SWIMAD) is a private, not- for –profit Institution that started under South Western Initiative for Community Counseling Organization (SWICCO) as organization’s project. SWICCO is a Non Profit- Making Organization, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in the Republic of Uganda, committed to discover and promote new ways of working and to supplement government’s efforts to arrest social vices such as domestic violence, discrimination, rights abuses, and the spread of HIV infections, among others in the communities through awareness creation and social support initiatives. SWICCO’s activities are coordinated by its Secretariat, led by an Executive Director.
SWIMAD aims at achieving a more balanced education system that focuses on training the learner to develop in three dimensions- the cognitive (head) the psychomotor (hands/skills) and the effective social skills which help the learner to develop the horizontal relations with others as well as vertical relationship with ones maker. SWIMAD believes that true education is the preparation of the physical, mental and moral powers for the performance of every day duties and the training of the body, mind and soul for divine services
