πŸ”₯ JOVOC HOSTS. JOVOC COMPETES. JOVOC MAKES ITS MARK.

This term, JOVOC opened its doors to schools from across the Archdiocese of Mbarara for the 2nd Regional Debate, Public Speaking & Poetry Competition, under the theme β€œLeadership and Environmental Conservation.”

And the home team had plenty to say.

🎀 Both JOVOC public speakers reached the finals.
πŸ† Ainebyoona Moses - Best Speaker
πŸ₯ˆ JOVOC Debate Team - 2nd Runners Up
πŸ₯ˆ Ainamaani Oscar - 2nd Runner Up, Public Speaking
Our poet narrowly bowed out at the semifinals, while Debate Team A carried the JOVOC flag into the final.

The overall trophy may have gone to St. Charles Lwanga, but JOVOC walked away with medals, honours, certificates, and, perhaps most importantly, a stronger generation of confident young thinkers.
From debate to poetry, from public speaking to leadership, the day was a powerful reminder: The ability to speak, think, and lead is a skill worth cultivating. JOVOC is building that generation. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ’™πŸ’›

This term, JOVOC proudly took on Uganda's finest young minds at the USSSA National Ball Games II & Mind Games Championships in Gulu, with a 33-learner delegation representing us in Basketball, Chess, and Scrabble.

The results tell a story of national-level competitiveness:

πŸ₯‰ U17 Basketball-3rd Nationally
πŸ”€ Scrabble -7th Nationally
β™ŸοΈ Chess-9th Nationally
A Top 10 national finish in both Mind Games disciplines is no small feat. Our learners went head-to-head with some of the country's strongest competitors, gaining invaluable experience, confidence, and exposure along the way.
And this is only part of the journey.

We went to compete. We learned. We grew. We made our mark. And we are going back stronger.

Congratulations to our learners and coaches for flying the JOVOC flag high. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ’™

Celebrating excellence! πŸŽ“
We proudly honoured our outstanding 2025 UACE top performers as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their academic journey.

Three of our finest attained the coveted 20 points, earning admission to Makerere University, MUBS, and Kyambogo University, while another exceptional learner secured 18 points and will pursue Engineering at Kyambogo.

During a Thanksgiving Mass led by Rev. Fr. Julius Caesar Kamukama, the school recognized these remarkable achievements with cash awards, celebrating not only academic excellence but also the discipline, faith, and resilience that define a true Jovoc student.

Our learners recently embarked on a pilgrimage to Calvary Hill, a place of prayer and reflection, where they joined fellow faithful in seeking God's presence through the Holy Eucharist, prayer, and meditation.

The pilgrimage offered our students an opportunity to deepen their faith, reflect on their personal relationship with God, and draw inspiration from the spiritual significance of Calvary. Beyond the journey itself, it served as a reminder that true education nurtures not only the mind but also the heart and soul.
