Elshadai orphaned and needy primary school is a non-profit and non denominational founded school located in Bumufuni, Manafa district about 30kms south of Mbale district with a vision of reaching the orphans and helpless children by giving medical, school and healthcare services to them
We started it because of the vision of compassion we had towards the orphaned and needy children especially tho
se whose parents had died of Hiv/aids and natural deaths. Elshadai has a school management committee which runs daily administration to ensure that the kids get the best out of the school. The community is very supportive of the school and they always put in 20% of contribution and this helps us in providing breakfast for our kids. The community also provides both financial assistance, labour in construction and materials like food, firewood. The school has a board of founders and trustees and it is registered under soul harvest ministries. Objectives
To reach the orphaned and helpless kids with compassion and give services to them. We give medical, health and education services. We believe that all children have a right to education and health care. We also reach these children with the message of hope for their future. We give skills to them so that when they grow they can sustain themselves by starting up a living. Our mission is that need to produce morally upright kids for the upcoming generation. To provide school fees for orphans and needy children in higher schools and colleges. To provide free education to the needy and orphaned children by providing structures where possible
To provide scholastic materials for them
To provide school uniforms
To provide counseling services to HIV/AIDS orphaned and needy children to make them feel loved
To hold youth camps where kids get to interact with one another. To provide food for the children while at school so that they can be strong
To provide medical care for the orphaned children
COMMUNITY
Most of the communities here in eastern Uganda are living a hard life due to landslides, poverty, floods and harmful disease which lead to early deaths leaving orphaned and needy children behind. Many people die due to lack of clean drinking water for the community as such there is need to provide them with a protected wells to get them clean water. This well can provide clean water for 2 -3 villages
Malaria is a big threat to our communities but can be prevented by providing mosquito nets to the communities. There is need to sensitize the community about modern agricultural practices so that both farming poultry that can bring them some income. Therefore we need to provide seeds and support to as starting capital. SPORTS
There is need to train and put together teams for tournaments so that the youth can be active and their talents exposed. To provide sportswear, balls and other materials needed by the teams
Construction of good sports grounds for the community.
