Mbale Adult & Technical Community Education Initiative is a registered charity organization charity No: S 5914/8260 focused on alleviating the lives of hundreds of thousands of illiterate and unskilled young and senior adult

persons here in Uganda. When you partner with Mbale adult & Technical Community Education Initiative, you will be serving the unfortunate, hopeless senior and young illiterate adults in different locations of Uganda. Matcei responds to help literate the illiterate adult persons by equipping them with literacy, numeracy and diverse functional skills. Matcei does trace and mobilize senior and young adult school dropouts due to early pregnancies, family conflicts, war, misfortunes, prison sentences, lack of facilities and other environmental challenges and re-align such for sustainable literacy and skills training at all possible levels of education. Matcei also does mobilize the illiterate adults for literacy classes and into functional projects for self sustainability and to over-come poverty and misery. Matcei further, ventures into research for placement of unemployed, hopeless, adult persons into productive activities through relevant education. HISTORY
Mbale adult & Technical community Education Initiative was founded in 2003 by Pastor Paul Khaukha and Mr. Stephen Wabwire Wasike, like many of us, they felt pain and sympathy for the thousands of senior and young adults grappling in misery due to ignorance, disease and poverty inclined to illiteracy, semi-illiteracy, and total lack of sustainable skills. Mudumba George a school administrator for accommodation where we started an evening class teaching functional knowledge to two female adult school dropouts. Since then hundreds of senior and young adult illiterate and semi-illiterate persons are finding hope and success in their live.
