π₯€ Ernestina introduced has introduced a zeroβwaste model, reusing juice residues to produce healthy crackers and turning fruit peels into animal feed. Through the Orange Wednesday initiative, juices and fruits are distributed free of charge to students and teachers in rural schools, encouraging a more balanced diet and the adoption of healthier habits.

Their products include longβburning, smokeβfree, environmentally friendly cooking briquettes and energyβsaving stoves, providing households with cleaner and more sustainable cooking solutions.
πΏ The enterprise has produced over 750 tonnes of briquettes, expanding cleanβenergy access while diverting more than 21,000 tonnes of organic waste from the environment. Through her work, Betty has improved the livelihoods of over 600 peopleβincluding employees, distributors, retailers, and waste pickers.

π Last year, Erica Negro and Maddalena Scribanis conducted a month-long field research in Kenya within the ITACA Project, an initiative implemented by UniversitΓ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and other Italian and African universities promoting academic cooperation and knowledge exchange between Africa and Europe.
π¬ Through interviews and field observations, they engaged with social enterprises and community-based entrepreneurial groups supported by E4Impact, exploring how entrepreneurship can become a driver of transformation in vulnerable contexts.
