πŸ₯€ Ernestina introduced has introduced a zero‑waste model, reusing juice residues to produce healthy crackers and turning fruit peels into animal feed. Through the Orange Wednesday initiative, juices and fruits are distributed free of charge to students and teachers in rural schools, encouraging a more balanced diet and the adoption of healthier habits.

🟒 Augustine Oluga, from Business for Green Impact Program in Uganda (2023-2024), gives us some worthy tips on how to become a successful entrepreneur.

♻️ As the CEO of Leni Consultants Limited, he leads a green company that transforms waste into biogas, providing a sustainable solution that disposes of waste and generates renewable energy at the same time.

🌳 Together with his team, Augustine has built 124 biodigesters, contributing to the preservation of nearly 3,000 trees every year and promoting cleaner, more efficient energy solutions across local communities.

♻️ She is the CEO of BEST of WASTE Ltd - BoW, a social enterprise that recycles organic waste to produce affordable, eco‑friendly energy products for urban communities in Kampala. Their products include long‑burning, smoke‑free, environmentally friendly cooking briquettes and energy‑saving stoves, providing households with cleaner and more sustainable cooking solutions.

🌿 The enterprise has produced over 750 tonnes of briquettes, expanding clean‑energy access while diverting more than 21,000 tonnes of organic waste from the environment. Through her work, Betty has improved the livelihoods of over 600 peopleβ€”including employees, distributors, retailers, and waste pickers.
