HAU is committed to accumulating substantial experience in our core areas and create numerous development programs based on community analyses of the activities which will be most helpful in achieving sustainable and equitable development of our target groups. YoC Uganda is in the process of identifying a strategic direction yet to be adopted. The strategic plan is derived on thematic areas which YoC Uganda feels are important in enabling it realise its aims and objectives. The thematic areas under which YoC Uganda will operate are as indicated below;
i. Child/Youth friendly cities. Care for carers. Climate Change and Agriculture. Change Livelihoods. The above thematic areas where identified with the aim of supporting the need for integration and effectiveness of health, livelihood, educational, gender, climate change interventions to guide decision-making and implementation in supporting development programs. YoC Uganda is focused on strengthening its thematic areas through programmatic focus on;
Promoting increased access to health and social support services. Promoting educational and empowerment programs to the most vulnerable youth, children and women. Promoting climate change and agricultural programs for the betterment of the above most vulnerable target groups and their environments. Supporting livelihood programs that bring about change among the above target group. Increasing access to information on Health and Social Services, educational opportunities and climate change issues among the most vulnerable youth, children and women. Building capacities of the youth and women in response to emergence and humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable persons. Generating knowledge through evidence based research and other knowledge building reflective processes that contribute to sustainable, pluralistic, accountable and equitable socio-economic development. Promoting Gender and equality in service delivery. Promoting the guiding principles and core values of YoC Uganda to further a culture of humanitarianism among the youth, children and women.
