Welcome to Divine Mercy High School (DMHSK)
DMHSK was founded and funded by a family of dedicated Ugandan patriots with an aim of providing an opportunity for the underprivileged children to continue their education at a secondary school level and create greater prospects for themselves and their communities.
Established in honour of the Divine Mercy and address the need for more affordable secondary schools in the Rakai and Kyotera districts. The school started off with basic structures in 2006 with less than 20 students. As of February 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the school had a population of 300 students (limited by current structures).
Although DMHSK community foundation is based on Christian values, it is open to students and staff from other religious denominations. The school promotes religious tolerance and views such tolerance as a tool which will help to enrich students' horizons and build peaceful communities in the future.
Apart from promoting science subjects and a high computer literacy, DMHSK catalyzes the potentials of the most vulnerable, the girl child and the young woman, to create a conducive future for themselves, their families, their communities and for their country.
DMHSK extends this campaign throughout the neighbourhoods:
"PROMOTE AND SUPPORT GIRLS' EDUCATION AND WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP AND ERADICATE POVERTY AND DISEASE"
