Yesterday Kacherede PS was left in awe as the students broke all sorts of barriers (geographical, cultural and even financial) to get to Chicago within seconds.
Thanks to Skype in the classroom, the kids of a school in a little known village of Kodukul in Kumi district were able to reach out to their friends of Oak School in Chicago (8hrs diff) and discuss matters regarding their studies and the schools at large.
It was something beyond an African kid's imagination as the two schools discussed for 45 minutes.
Regardless of the fact that the signal in Kumi was and how timid the ones in Africa were, it all went well.
This was in succession to the discussion a day before that we had with a teacher in Utah (9hrs diff).
We are looking forward to having lessons and futher discussions in the near future as we look to expand the mental horizons of these kids.
