Busoga Junior School is a private Institution, licensed by the Ministry of Education and Sports in the Republic of Uganda and Interdenominational in service. We believe that the children’s right to education is one of the fundamental building arenas in which a child’s development and future priories in life are determined and certain. Busoga Junior School was established in the year 2000, but firs
t thought about in 1998 by professional teachers and Church leaders as a response to an avalanche of orphans created by the international rebel called AIDS and the War in Uganda. The teachers and local leaders used their own little resources and received assistance from the American Sisters of Charity: Sister Marie Antoine, Sister Melita, and Sister Mary Magdalene, all deceased now, but formerly living in the state of Ohio, USA. In Uganda, orphaned girls are suffering the most as they have been marginalized in the Ugandan culture for many centuries. They are regarded as creatures of no hope and obliged to marriage as an asset to settle debts that their brothers and elders have caused. They are thus seen as a major source of income to the family
