Representing the Chief Guest, Rev. Can. Dr. Duncans Mugumya, Commissioner of Physical Education and Sports, Mr. Gilbert Orikiriiza, Education Officer in charge of Physical Education, pledged increased ministry support towards university sports.
This includes increased funding and facilitating grants for sports infrastructure development. He also tasked AUUS to intensify her branding efforts.

Mr. Agaba Stewart, FISU Student Ambassador for Uganda (2025/2026), has led an impactful session on supporting student-athletes.

From policy gaps to practical solutions, the conversation is happening.
