INTRODUCTION
Let me convey my greetings to you,
I wish to introduce to you hope orphanage schools which started by volunteers in the year 2000 with the aim of helping orphans and other vulnerable children by giving them free quality education and life skills (like carpentry, brick laying, tailoring and cookery) to fight illiteracy and poverty by creating jobs themselves through skills given. orphanage school was fully registered with the ministry of education in the year 2002 to provide free basic education and life skills to the orphans and increase literacy levels in community and the country at large. The orphanage has two sections, the Primary section and secondary section. The primary section is located at Kiwenda –Gayaza, Busukuma Sub county Guludene Village, and in Wakiso District about 15kms from Kampala capital which accommodates 250 Pupils. The secondary section is located at Kawempe –Wamala village, Nabweru Sub County, Wakiso –District which accommodates 300 students. OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of the orphanage are:
-To offer free basic education and welfare to the orphans.
-To provide life skills and entrepreneurship to orphans like Tailoring, carpentry and cookery.
-To establish income generating activities. The orphanage has achieved in structures because we started with one building but now we have more than four buildings. And with classes, we started with baby class but now we have achieved to full primary section that is primary one to primary seven. Hope started with 20 pupils now we have more than 250 pupils due to well-wishers we managed to cater for that pupils
Hope orphanage school has a mission statement as to “fight illiteracy”
And our Vision is to “increase literacy level in the society
