here high rate of youth unemployment, armed conflicts, poverty, famine/avoidable Disasters, Crime, Disease and Ignorance are still a major experience and discussion of the day, and where Girl Child Abuse and Neglect is still a social life model. People with disabilities live in a state of social rejection and isolation with nearly no clear path to success and global competitive opportunities. Problem statement
Uganda and Africa as a continent still faces a major crisis of youth unemployment. African Socio-Economic structures, Education systems and learning curricular seem not to major or impart appropriate industrial oriented skills, attitudes and opportunities to the children, women and energetic youth communities. A larger percentage today graduate with offline, mismatched or undesirable skills for employment or job creation. This is more than a crisis in Uganda, East Africa and a number of countries in Africa affected by civil conflicts and such linked problems. If this is not appropriately and systematically addressed, this is most likely to be the major sustainable generator and recycler of worst Terrorism, increased Crime, hardcore poverty, Political and social Violence. Whereas the world is increasingly in support of an industrious population for genuine and safer survival, a larger section of Africa still remains structurally and mentally dormant or unclear about this. There is now abundant evidence to show that most youth in Uganda, East Africa and majority of countries across Africa are still increasingly enrolling into alcohol drinking, idle/gambling and crime houses/projects at the total expense of social peace and economic productivity. African Families, political leaders and organized criminals still enjoy the wider luxury to focus the success of their missions on the huge number of idle and less productive youth whenever they need to initiate or amplify crime, armed conflicts or Violence. Past and present massive efforts by governments to tackle these problems have not fully yielded sustainable solutions. Uganda for example, current unemployment rate stands at 83% -86%, Girl child Education and completion rate is still extremely very low, especially among the war affected communities, leave alone those communities extremely struck by poverty, disease and pastural Nomadism across East Africa and Africa as a continent. We believe that empowering a young person with well researched appropriate industrial and various useful life skills is the best way to make the world a beautiful place to live where peace, social harmony and enjoyment sustainably reigns. We also believe that empowering the young woman through provision of quality and complete education for the girl child is the best way to empower society. And promoting life useful Talents, Appropriate Hands-on Practical Skills based Education & Training, Scientific Research and Innovations for all youth communities is the best way Africa and the entire world can solve the major problem of poverty, unemployment, increasing Crime and organized terrorism. Way Forward
We all know that the Youth and Women are the Energy base for all households and most economies across the world. Empowering the Girl child and youth communities with appropriate productive skills and a ground to own these solutions from Design to Execution is the only road to real sustainability. At country and continental level, TI aspires to strategically promote, advocate and advance opportunities, programs and policies that seek to empower the young persons to be wealth and peace creators and reliable backbones, champions and managers of state economies. Contributing directly and indirectly to building stakeholder capacity to provide transformatory skills based learning for all children and youth communities, with extra emphasis put on the Girl child and children with disabilities. TI applies constructive and targeted strategic communication, programs and alliances at all levels to catalyze the needed behavior change especially among the youth communities, various trainers and stakeholders that will result in stronger ownership and implementation capacity for these proven solutions, interventions and above all, better productive and managerial skills for Africa's young and energetic population. To achieve all these, TI will continue to forge strategic alliances and partnerships with Governments, local and international development partners, Organizations and individuals within Uganda, East Africa, Africa and around the world. Putting much emphasis into programs and projects that promote and advance useful youth life Talents, Appropriate Practical Skills Based Education & Training (APSBET), community entrepreneurship and industrialization, Appropriate & Complete Education for the Girl child and youth/children with disabilities. The youth and women must be creators, backbones and reliable managers of wealth, social peace and state economies, if poverty, Ignorance, Disease, Crime and Terrorism are to be successfully faced and tackled head-on.
