In observance of World Sight Day 2025, MUOSA, in collaboration with OAU, and Medopticsltd conducted a pre-activity outreach, screening a total of 517 schoolchildren, aligning with this year's theme, "Love Your Eyes." ❤️👀

From one dedicated team to the next MUOSA moves forward with renewed vision and purpose after a successful leadership handover. Grateful for the service rendered and excited for what lies ahead!

The Optometrists Association of Uganda (OAU) invites you to attend webinar sessions about *Myopia Control* during the Optometry week (21st-25th March) at 7:00pm.
The sessions will be chaired by Dr. Naomi Nsubuga

These are the topics to be presented:
1. Defining & Classifying Myopia
2. Impact of Myopia and Risk Factors for Myopia
3. Accommodation & BV in Progression of Myopia
4. Pathological Myopia
5. Clinical Management Guidelines and Prevention of Myopia & its Progression

The World Optometry Day is celebrated on 23rd March every year and OAU will celebrate it by creating awareness about myopia and the recent developments in myopia control.

The sessions will be FREE for OAU members and Optometry Students. Non-members will pay 20,000/= per session. Payments should be done via MTN MM on +256773982621. Bank details will be availed to participants who would like to pay using this option.

Today 14th October, 2021 is World Sight Day. We shall be participating in a vision screening exercise at Mulago Nurses Hostel. Come and have your eyes checked for FREE!

Working from home, online classes and online meetings which have been exacerbated by Lockdown restrictions due to COVID-19 Pandemic have lead to an increase in the number of people complaining of many symptoms.
Today as we celebrate the Optometry Profession, let's look at Computer Vision Syndrome (CVD).

As we celebrate this year’s optometry day today, our attention and solidarity is with the rest of the world in this war against the Corona Virus Disease. We continue to urge everyone to be vigilant, follow sanitation and hygiene guidelines and stay safe.
