Kampala Community International Preschool is a progressive early child development center for children ages 18 months-5 years.

Our center emphasizes the importance of learning through a play-based, child-centered curriculum. At KCIP, we see each child as an individual. The diverse community represented at our center allows children to gain a sense of international awareness. We believe that children learn best in an environment that is nurturing, secure and establishes mutual understanding and respect. Our teachers make it their mission to provide children with quality education that is enabling and encouraging.

At KCIP, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and connected.

By creating a warm amd supportive environment, we help children build friendship, develop empathy and form strong bonds with those around them.

Because kindness, confidence, and sense of belonging all begin in preschool.

Our Artapalooza Day was a beautiful celebration of creativity, imagination, and community spirit at KCIP. 🎨

Our students proudly showcased their artistic talents through a variety of creative projects, including individual art pieces and 3D sculptures inspired by familiar stories and topics they have explored in class. Through art, they were able to bring their ideas and imagination to life while developing a deeper understanding of the world around them in their own unique ways.

We were also honored to collaborate with Uganda, an organization that uses art as a tool for the creative empowerment of children living on the streets of Uganda. Together, we created meaningful art pieces that were displayed for sale, with all proceeds going toward supporting the children and programs of Streetlights Uganda.

Artapalooza was not only a day of creativity and learning, but also an opportunity for KCIP to give back to the community and inspire compassion through action.

A heartfelt thank you to our parents, partners, and everyone who contributed to making this day and cause such a great success. Your support made a lasting impact.

When children explore patterns, they experiment with colours, shapes and sequence. They notice how patterns repeat and can be extended or changed.

As they create, they discuss what comes next, test their ideas, and discuss their thinking.

Storytelling is so much more than just reading a book 📖

Through storytelling, children explore creativity in many forms- reading, speaking, drawing, acting, and creating. Along the way, they build confidence, develop language, and learn how to express themselves.

Every story children tell is a step in finding their own voice.
