EFFECTIVE BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Communicate Professionally:
Your professionalism can win you contracts, and your communication skills add to the complete package. Take time to proof-read all emails prior to sending; use a business email address with a proper signature; answer the phone professionally; and speak articulately and competently at all times.

EFFECTIVE BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Ask the Right Questions:
Part of selling your services is being able to understand the client’s needs. You can do this only by asking questions that get to the heart of the challenges they are facing.
For example, when you contact a prospective client, you can have them fill a requirements document that poses various questions to help you better understand what they are looking for. Some of the questions can be:
• Describe the nature of your business.
• Who is your target audience?
• What is the background on the project? (Is it brand new? Has it already begun?)
• What are the goals and objectives of the project?
• What is the timeline for the project?
Once you have a clear understanding of the problem that the client needs to solve, you can pitch your services as the best possible option for the client, outlining how you will meet their needs.
BUSINESS MATHEMATICS:
Using VERTICALLY and CROSSWISE, you do not need to multiply tables beyond 5*5:
--- Suppose you need 8*7.
8 is 2 below 10 and 7 is 3 below 10.
You subtract 8-3 or 7-2 to get 5, the FIRST figure of the answer.
&
You multiply vertically: 2*3 to get 6, the LAST figure of the answer.
8 - 2
* |
7 - 3
------
5 6 (answer)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's how to use VERTICALLY and CROSSWISE for multiplying numbers, close to 100:
--- Suppose you need 88*98.
Both 88 and 98 are close to 100.
88 is 12 below 100 and 98 is 2 below 100.
88 - 12
* |
98 - 2
----------
86 24 (answer)
As before the 86 comes from subtracting crosswise: 88-2 = 86
(or 98-12=86: you can subtract either way, you will always get the same answer).
and the 24 in the answer is just 12*2, you multiply vertically
