Dr. Edward Sengonzi Damulira, Under Secretary Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Uganda , delivered a keynote address at the Annual Career Expo on Procurement and Logistics at MUBS, highlighting the ongoing transformation of supply chains.
He noted that the sector is evolving from cost-driven models to smart, fast, and sustainable networks, with careers increasingly shaped by data-driven decision-making, AI integration, and automation.
He emphasized that the future belongs to hybrid professionals who can build resilient and adaptive supply networks, urging students to combine technical expertise with strong soft skills, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Makerere University Business School is hosting the 3rd Annual Career Expo 2026 under the Faculty of Procurement & Logistics Management.
Theme: “Strengthening Industry–University Collaboration Through Offering Students Valuable Exposure to Potential Career Paths and Networking Opportunities.”
The event brings together students, industry professionals, and key stakeholders for insightful presentations, discussions, and networking sessions aimed at enhancing career readiness in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.

Ms. Muzoora Juliet Atuhire, Commissioner of Secondary Schools Ministry of Education and Sports Uganda , described career choice as one of the most important decisions students make, urging learners to understand their interests, talents, and passions before selecting subject combinations and future careers. She cautioned against choices driven by peer pressure, fear, or financial constraints, and encouraged alignment with their abilities and long-term aspirations—underscoring that self-awareness and proper guidance are essential for informed career decisions and future success.

MUBS Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi yesterday facilitated at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi, during a government retreat of Ministers, MPs and senior government officials. The principal used the opportunity to brief the President and government on what the school is doing and assured them that MUBS will not just be a mere spectator but part of the national development revolution. Participants were also excited by his idea of Degree +1.

A productive engagement at Makerere University Business School as Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi hosted Solange Umulisa of ICDL Africa. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between MUBS and ICDL Africa, and exploring integration of ICDL into MUBS academic programmes. The is a certified ICDL Training & Certification Centre. This partnership positions MUBS as a Centre of Excellence for digital skills, advancing workforce readiness across Uganda’s public and private sectors.
