Every two minutes a woman dies of cervical cancer somewhere in the world, even though it is largely preventable.

Pre-cancer screening is very easy and if caught in time, highly treatable. Also, cervical cancer vaccination is most effective for young girls. Thus, for a , we must ensure early vaccination and proper screening for our mothers, daughters and sisters.

Cervical cancer is a highly preventable type of cancer. It occurs only in women, in the opening of their wombs and mainly due to long-term HPV infections.

For the climate-affected, marginalized women of Bangladesh, cervical cancer is often untreated and unaddressed.

A part of our efforts is to educate them about the disease so that they can be diagnosed and receive treatment before it is too late.

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells of the cervix — the lower part of the uterus. Infections from Human papillomavirus (HPV) strains are a key cause of cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is a preventable type of cancer if addressed on time.

When Asma Khatun, 30, a resident of Sundarganj, Gaibandha, found out that she had grown pre-cancerous lesions that could lead to cervical cancer, her world came crashing down.

She was uncomfortable discussing these symptoms with anybody. However, she eventually sought help at a Friendship static clinic in her locality and was referred to EFH for cervical cancer screening.
