This is a two-week residential training that focuses on critical public
health issues faced by non-governmental organisations personnel
(NGO/PVO) working in complex emergencies. Participants are exposed to the following concepts: Context
of emergencies, epidemiology, communicable disease control,
environmental health, nutrition, reproductive health, violence,
weapons and trauma, protection and security, psychological issues and
coordination.
