UVCF Holds Training Workshop for Executive and Personal Assistants
The Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF) successfully held a two-day training workshop for Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants on 24th–25th September 2026 at Horizon Hotel, Entebbe.
📌 Theme: “Strengthening Professional Excellence in Executive Support Services in Higher Education Institutions.”
The workshop brought together administrative professionals to strengthen their knowledge, skills and confidence in providing effective executive support within higher education institutions.
💡 Key areas covered included:
🔹 University governance, structures and decision-making
🔹 Tracking, measuring and presenting professional impact for HR appraisals
🔹 Transforming routine administrative interactions into excellent service experiences
🔹 Records management, confidentiality and information security
🔹 Leveraging digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for executive support
🔹 Effective meeting management and minute writing
🔹 Event coordination and professional communication
🤝 Through interactive sessions, group work and presentations, participants shared experiences, reflected on their roles and identified practical approaches to improving professional excellence, service delivery and institutional effectiveness.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of resolutions and action points, evaluation, and a closing ceremony.
🌐 The training reaffirmed UVCF’s commitment to strengthening the capacity of administrative professionals who play a vital role in supporting university leadership and the effective functioning of higher education institutions.
