Reference is made to a story making rounds on facebook and several social media platforms about the wedding of Salim Katumba and Julian Owasiimire.

Buziga Islamic Theological Institute has received calls and read comments made by various people.

The institute did not in anyway have prior information about the church event. The two events were independently held and were purely acts of the couple not acts of the institute.

It is indeed a regrettable incident and the institute does not take responsibility for the couple's acts.

We pray that Allah continues to guide and protect the Ummah.

Good morning to you all. I bring you sad news of the passing of Farouq Bwanika our OB. He performed Fajr prayers in Congregation at Konge mosque in perfect condition with no reported history of illnesses only to depart this life a few minutes later in sleep.

He has been the heir to the late Hajj Hood Mayanja and a resident of Konge.

May the Almighty Allah pardon him of his shortcomings and grant him Jannah.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Old/Former Students of Buziga Islamic Theological Institute with deep sorrow announce the death of a fellow former student AbduSwamad Kasule of Kitintale who died last evening.

His body will be laid to rest at his ancestral burial grounds in Mukono Kisowera - Kibooba tomorrow 15th September 2016.

We pray to the Almighty Allah to pardon him for his shortcomings and grant him Jannah.

Informed are Old students, relatives, in-laws and friends. Innalillahi wa innaa ilayhi rajiun.

The Management, Staff and family of the Late Sheikh Edirisa Twaibu Lutaaya with deep sorrow announce the death of Balikuddembe Uthman a.k.a Swahaba. In a Lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. He has passed on after a tragic accident in Matugga.

We pray to the Almighty Allah to pardon him for his shortcomings and reward him Jannah.

Burial arrangements shall be communicated.
