In any happy woman’s family, cooking with gas brings the meal on table faster ,easily without too much stress from smoke, the hardest is looking for firewood, charcoal. She serves the meal with happiness, and healthier without inhaling bad gases like carbon monoxide, and also lives longer and healthier.
As one acre farming we have designed a medium sized home biogas plant ,and would like to share it, maybe some people out there will produce it and save the a woman out there in villages.

Requirements
2 tanks 400 litre capacity,2 DC heaters (glow plugs ie plugs used in diesel engines as spark plugs) ,2 temperature controller PID,1 charge controller, 50 watt solar panel,70 watt hour battery(optional),gas collection tank (it can be car tyre tube ), Crucible to clean the gas (available at one acre farming))
2 gate valves to move mixed animal waste from one tank to another
4 gas valves, copper gas tubes,dc cable,2 thermal couple
2 on off switches

OPERATION.
gas production is highest between 500C -540C, that’s why we need heaters, to raise the temperature to allowable levels, and keep it in range using a controller, thermal couple to sense temperature of the mixture.
Half fill upper tank with animal waste, add 100 litres of water and steer. leave it for 7days ,at this time gas is already produced in upper tank., open valve to let mixture in upper tank into lower tank and steer, repeat refilling upper tank ,now lower and upper tanks will be producing gas but lower tank producing more, after 7 days empty lower tank ,and output taken to the garden ,repeat as before .case of any unclear understanding of this document please don’t hesitate to inbox one acre farming on facebook , you will be helped, plus also sharing the our link on facebook with others, see you there

81$ DOLLARS A DAY DIRTY JOB FOR 120 DAYS
One Acre Farming once again presents to the visitors of this page a fully assessed, tested ,dirty job that earns $9720 on one acre on its rented landscape. Many of the readers really don’t like to go through reading the deep down details of how exactly securing the results in this article ,so the details are contained/ hidden in the previous articles deep down one acre farming page, ever need to know them, you will have to take time to read through them, so we are going to focus on figures and designs and necessities of how to achieve results as figures interest people especially here in Uganda and Kenya than reading and understanding the neatly gritty bit of it. I repeat once again real details are declared in first articles of this facebook page.
The dirty job is growing extreme population of maize on one acre land

Lets first borrow a leaf from the world record breakers, those that have gone beyond what we call normal, or standards provided by national regulators like NAARO in Uganda and that in Kenya and university research results. In the USA every year,a maize /corn yield contest is held amongst farmers ,to see who can produce the highest yield on 5 consecutive fields of one acre ie 5 acres. The winners are declared , and also share the details of their success, indicating ;
 seed types they used(seed company product used)
 fertilizers(company product used) both solid and liquid,
 fungicides,(company product used)
 pesticides,(company product used)
 soil management practice used,
so that other farmers can use them on their farms. This benefits both farmers and the agricultural input producers. Input product sales increase due to choice of farmers emulating what winners used and in many cases ,input product sellers partners with different competitors on their farms in terms of supply of raw materials used like seeds, fertilizers, fungicides, pestsides, crop management firms to produce the winner . This explains why USA is the leading maize producer in the world.

Hereby present to you a 2019 year world maize yield record breaker, and a three time consecutive record breaker DAVID HULLA produced 22176 kg of maize per acre. Reaching this record he had won 2018, with a slightly lower yield record and also 2017, other lower breakers like Francis childs do exist, but at the moment David Hulla is on top, he shares his success.

From this that ONE ACRE FARMING started to test on one acre only and am proud to say we did beat World record breaker by producing 37801kg of maize. if the contest rules were on one acre we would be the world record breakers but rules require five consecutive acres , so we can not claim victory or a be challenger, but say , yes ,yes yes we did it, and we would like to share the dirty work behind our success .

We start by dimensioning one acre to accommodate a standing population of 75600. An acre is 63.3metres wide and 63.3metres long .

The arrangement is a double row setting for each double row separation is 70cm,ie 0.7metres.
Row seed separation is 15cm. so each line has 420 seeds, so a double row has 420 x2=840 seeds.
On a full acre length is 63.3metres
ie 63.3/0.7=90 double rows
each double row has 840 seeds
so 90 double row has 90 x840=75600 seed population.

Quite a high population I might say compared to the world record holder of 55000 population. One would argue this is not possible to hold a good yield , as there would be crowding, little sun pe*******on, high disease spreading ,competition for food, difficulty in pest control,and other scarely factors, but we to let you know, that all this had to be looked into detail, but the main trick was a decision to determine the traits of the genetics of seed type used.
The seed type used is Bazooka a product from Naseco seed company in Uganda, it’s a double cob breed ,120 days maturity. It was mixed with BRAC seed a slightly shorter maturity maize breed from BRAC ,

 NPK,
 Organic matter(mixture of goat and chicken droppings )
 Gibererins,
 green master liquid fertilizer from bukoola chemicals ,
 miracle grow,
 bud ignitor & voodoo juice from advanced nutrients company
 rodazime fungicide from Bayer,
 a variety of pesticides from bukoola chemicals were rotated each spray period and worked so perfect.

Selection of the above was purposely to increase grain weight slightly higher by a gram or 2 grams, and proper timing of application during the timing clocks of the plant cycle, where the plant decides how many lines it should have on the cob, how many seeds in each line, and cob length. Well during this stage there was manipulation of plant behavior ,presence of right hormones and proper nutrient uptake testing in leaves.
Of the total seed population , seeds from BRAC are 20%. The purpose of mixing with an early maturity breed, is to help in early pollination of bazooka breed, and filling of cob lines, and on average each cob had 16 lines, with each line containing 54 to 58 seeds. Average harvested per seed(grain) weight was 0.35grames.
Average weight of seeds from the main cob on the plant

Cob has average 16 lines,
Average number of seeds per line 55 seeds
Average weight 16 x 55 x 0.35=308grams
Average weight of secondary cob on the plant
Secondary cob has an average of 14 lines
Each line has 54 seeds on average
Weight of secondary cob
14 x 54 x 0.35=264 grams
So total average weight of seeds from one plant is 308+264=572grams
Total population of seeds that covered one acre is 90 x840 =75600

Total weight yield is 75600 plants x 572 per plant seed weight=43243200 grams=43243200/1000=43,243kg of maize, but our results from one acre was 37,801kg of maize, a check difference from calculated and actual of 5,442.2kg. The difference was as a result of germination failure, pest birds, sudden death of plants, poor germination and other factors that are minor.
All the maize output was under irrigation as it was off season period, proper timing when by this time the price of maize is high when stocks in grain store are low ,and by this time price was ugs 950 shillings per kg.
So revenue was 37801 x 950 =35910950 UGX shillings
Coverted to dollars

So 35910950/3650= 9838 USD as the topic heading
So per day income is 9838/120=81 USD .
All this is attained in 120 days of maturity

We as one acre farming have eliminated the details of the feeding program from this article as the previous articles show how best to feed maize and manage diseases , in that the reader of this article has to go back through all those articles and gather information, lets stop this artitude of if you want to hide something from an African ,write it, because Africans don’t like reading.
