Recently, we took a break from the usual and threw it all the way back with an 80’s themed staff party—and it was a blast! From bold outfits to classic beats, we danced, laughed, and celebrated the amazing team that keeps everything moving forward.

It was a beautiful reminder that while we work hard, we also value joy, community, and connection. Here’s to celebrating each other and the incredible work we do—together.

Last week, we joined millions around the world in celebrating World Refugee Day—a moment to honor the courage, resilience, and strength of refugees in our community.

We had a wonderful time together with our partners: FINCA, Finn Church Aid, Refugee Law Project (RLP), Kazo Technical School, and Care Skilling Africa. Your support and collaboration helped make the day meaningful and impactful.

Every term at Hope Institute Of Languages and Life Skills - HILLS , we celebrate a new group of students who have been equipped with practical skills for a brighter future. From catering and tailoring to language and digital skills, our graduates walk away empowered and ready to thrive.

This isn't just a graduation—it's a step forward in transforming lives. HILLS is a sustainability project of Refuge and Hope International, designed to provide refugee and host community youth with hands-on training that opens doors.

Grateful Hearts at Work

This week, we gathered once again for our weekly devotion—this time with a special Praise Rally themed around Thanksgiving.

It was a beautiful time of worship, reflection, and giving thanks for all that God has done in our lives and in our work. There’s something powerful about pausing together as a team to acknowledge God's faithfulness.

We’re reminded that no matter the season, there’s always a reason to give thanks.

Last month, students from Hope Institute Of Languages and Life Skills - HILLS enjoyed a fun and inspiring trip to Jinja!. From a factory visit, team-building to scenic views of the Nile, it was a refreshing time of growth and connection.

As a sustainability project of Refuge and Hope International, HILLS equips refugees with language and life skills for a brighter future.
