Strengthening Academic Partnerships to Advance Competency-Based Education
We're honored to host a distinguished delegation from Daaru Salaam University (DSU), Somalia, led by Dr. Osman Mohamed Hassan, Chancellor, for a strategic engagement focused on establishing and strengthening academic collaboration between our two institutions.
The visit centered on a comprehensive Technical Needs Assessment aimed at exploring opportunities for cooperation in advancing Competency-Based Education (CBE), a transformative approach that equips learners with practical skills, industry relevance, and real-world problem-solving abilities.
The discussions provided a valuable platform for both institutions to exchange ideas, share best practices, and identify strategic areas of collaboration in curriculum development, quality assurance, research and innovation, academic capacity building, staff and student exchanges, and institutional development.
As higher education continues to evolve in response to the demands of the modern workforce, universities must move beyond knowledge transmission to producing graduates who can demonstrate competence, creativity, adaptability, and leadership.
Through partnerships such as this, Team University and Daaru Salaam University reaffirm their commitment to shaping graduates who are not only academically grounded but also prepared to drive social and economic transformation within their communities and beyond.
This engagement marks the beginning of what we believe will be a mutually beneficial partnership dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, research, and the advancement of quality higher education across Africa.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Osman Mohamed Hassan and the entire DSU delegation for their visit and look forward to building a lasting relationship that contributes meaningfully to the future of education.
