Capes, crowns, fox, and lions to mention a few; our Costume Parade was a runway of imagination! Each outfit told a story, and behind every smile is a child learning confidence, self-expression and the joy of being seen; even the heavy downpour couldn’t kill the vibe. We know that play in costume is serious learning in disguise; building language, identity and creativity from our nearly 3 decades experience in Early Childhood Education.

The little ones didn’t just read the stories or listen to their parents and grandparents tell them.
They became the stories. 🎭
Day 3 of Book Week at Little Cranes looked like this.

At the heart of Montessori education is the individual child. Our teachers follow each learner’s unique pace, nurturing curiosity one word at a time. These precious one-on-one reading sessions build not just literacy skills, but confidence, connection, and a genuine love of learning. It’s in these quiet moments that little minds discover just how far their imagination can take them. ✨

🐣🌱 Learning comes alive at Little Cranes;
From egg to chick to hen; our Upper Class is exploring the wonders of life cycles this term as part of our “How Things Grow” theme! 🐔✨
Watching little minds light up as they discover how the world around them grows and changes (including humans; they are reminded that there were once babies).
Has your little one shared any stories about how things grow?

It looks like “just coloring,” but this is a beautiful display of developmental milestones in action! 🖍️✨
When you swipe to one of the masterpieces;
you will notice how we carefully color within the lines? That isn’t just neatness it’s a leap in fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. It means those little finger muscles can write too! ✍️
And take a look at the color choices: green leaves. In the early years, accurately matching colors to real-world objects is a huge cognitive milestone showing that the little learners actively observe the world, process it, and translate those observations onto paper. 🌍🧠
In our classrooms, we give children the time, space, and high-quality materials to focus deeply and develop these essential skills at their own pace. The pride on their faces when they finish? That’s just the cherry on top!
Give your child some sheets to color or a coloring book and let them practice.
