When we talk about Youth Empowerment at RAVT Innovation Center, we aren't talking about theory. We are talking about tangible results.

We recruit young people and women facing the highest barriers, including refugees and school dropouts, and guide them through a 4-stage journey:

Economic independence is one of the most effective defenses against gender-based violence.
As we mark the commencement of the against Gender-Based Violence, RAVT Innovation Center reaffirms its commitment to structural transformation in Mpigi District. We recognize that vulnerability is often exacerbated by a lack of resources and economic agency.
Through our Skills & Livelihoods pillar—specifically in fashion, tailoring, and crafts—we provide more than just vocational training. We provide the tools for autonomy. When a woman in a rural community gains the capacity to generate income, the power dynamics within her household shift. She gains a voice, dignity, and the resilience to reject violence.
Our approach is holistic: integrating practical skills with SRHR education to ensure that women and girls are not only economically empowered but also physically safe and legally aware.
Let us unite to build a society where safety is a right, not a privilege.

When Fiona dropped out of school in Primary Seven, her future felt uncertain.
At just 14, she became pregnant and not long after, she faced the heartbreak of losing her baby. 💔

For a while, Fiona’s world fell silent.
But at RAVT Innovation Centre, we saw beyond her pain we saw her potential.

We spoke with her mother, and together, we decided to give Fiona a second chance not through pity, but through purpose.
Today, Fiona has learned sewing, hairdressing, and weaving, and she’s now mastering ICT skills.

Even more inspiring she now teaches other young women in her community, sharing her skills and her story to remind them that it’s never too late to rise again.

Fiona is the true definition of resilience, courage, and transformation.
