Hi GENUS family
I pray this note finds you healthy and resilient as we all deal with the disruption the coronavirus crisis caused. Whether you suddenly and simultaneously find yourself working from home while homeschooling or you are suddenly working longer and unable to stay home due to a job in healthcare, transportation, essential retail or government service, life looks very different than it did this time last month. Or maybe you aren’t working at all because you’ve temporarily had to stop working altogether due to the virus.
The sudden changes can leave you feeling scattered and disoriented. Your thoughts can race to the future or ruminate on your longing for the recent past. (If this is you, listen to my guided meditation to bring you back to the present.)
When things aren’t normal we cannot behave as though they are, which means it is important to take the time to reset our expectations of ourselves, our work, and the situation we all presently find ourselves in. Failing to reset our expectations can lead us to put pressure on ourselves to continue in our normal everyday activities in the way we usually would. As a result, we can end up feeling stressed, guilty, or angry with ourselves and our present circumstances.
Take these simple steps to help you reset expectations and be resilient in the face of this challenge:
1. Ask yourself: What is working here, and what just isn’t?
Start by taking a breath, and take a personal inventory of what you’re trying to force to happen in this time that’s preventing you from accomplishing what is actually most important right now. Trying to continue with “business as usual” could leave you feeling scattered, frustrated, disorganized, and unable to accomplish what actually matters.
2. Experiment with your “new normal” to create a new routine.
It may take some time to figure out a new routine, but it’s okay to take time to experiment! Personally, I like an early start to the morning. Most days I’ve gotten my son ready and dropped off at school and am in the office by 7:30. However, I’m learning that getting up early like I normally would and going about my day trying to be as productive as possible isn’t working for me. Right now, most of my day is dedicated to being available to help my son with school. Lately I’ve been far more productive at night, which means I have to give myself permission to get up a little later. Give yourself permission to do things differently than normal, and take the time that we have to start new rhythms of daily life.
3. Practice self care.
Because there’s more stress, self-care is super important. Rest, drink plenty of water, get outside and go for a walk. Remember, exercise isn’t always something that’s intense. It’s just getting up and getting moving. So if you’re able, take a walk, jump rope in your backyard with your kids, or do some yoga in your living room. Find a way to get your body moving because it’s good mentally, emotionally, and physically and it’s critical that we do what we can to remain healthy right now.
Coach Yourself with these Questions:
What do I need right now?
What will help me to feel cared for?
How do I need to adjust my expectations of myself and my circumstances in this season?.
Best wishes

Happy New Year!
May this be your best year yet! May the right doors open at the right time, and may you be ready and confident as you walk through them. May courage replace fear in the situations where you’ve procrastinated, doubted and hesitated. May you let go of all that has held you back, and move boldly towards your future. May your vision inspire you to persevere despite the obstacles. May things that have felt hard suddenly unfold with ease. May nothing steal your peace or your focus! May you be healthy, happy and prosperous. May this be your BEST DECADE YET!

Another great performance from our top class children on their graduation day. Well done our babies and best wishes as you start a new chapter in your education journey. We will greatly miss you.
Do not give a way your joy for something you don't have control over. You don't have control over people's opinions, they have their Rights to think whatever they want about you but you have control over what you take in. Don't give them the joy and satisfaction to weigh you down.
As you get ready to step into a new month, may you gain clarity about the decisions, people and opportunities in front of you. May you see clearly what and who to give your attention to. May you let go of that which is no longer purposeful in your life. Rather than focusing on what you don't have, may you see the abundance of what you do have and use it to move forward. May you have a breakthrough this month that causes a positive shift in your relationships. May it multiply your happiness. May it bring peace to your soul and joy to your household.
The value in each Human is the gift they were born to deliver to humanity. There is something you carry inside you that we need.
Long time friends hope every one is doing well. We welcome back all the children and parents from Holidays and we pray for God's mercy and favour through out this term. It's a promotional term and every body is excited about it especially the children. We pray that God grants all the candidates the wisdom and good health to go through their national exams.
