Registration in progress for Senior Six students and Year 13 students
As a parent register your Senior Six and Year 13 student for International Exams to increase their chance of studying abroad.
International Exams – These are exams done by students who would wish to study in America, Asia, Canada, Austria, Germany, and Turkey and Europe in general to mention a few.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)- Measures the language proficiency in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening administered by British Council. The test formats are General Training, Academic Training and UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - This is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. The TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test) measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It also evaluates how well you combine your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks. The TOEFL iBT test is given in English and administered via the internet.
SAT (Suit Assessment Test) – This is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by the College Board. There are two sections in SAT, Math and the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. Each section of the SAT is scored on a 200 to 800-point scale and the total SAT score is the sum of your section scores. The highest possible SAT score is 1600. The SAT exam is offered nationally every year in August, October, November, December, March, May, and June. The higher your SAT score, the more options for full or partial scholarship at university/ college will be available to you .
Special standardized tests are given to students of the courses below:
a) LSAT – Law students
b) DAT – Dental students
c) MCAT – Medical Students
The Test for Academic Studies (TestAS) is an official standardized exam offered to high school graduates from non-European countries who wish to study at a German university. It is offered by the Gesellschaft für Akademische Studienvorbereitung und Testentwicklung Society for Academic Study Preparation and Test Development, a Registered Association). The TestAS is a standardized test that examines a student’s cognitive and intellectual abilities. It measures a student’s academic aptitude, and has been used since 2007 to assist in university applications and approvals. A TestAS result is used to help gain admission into a German university. The test can be taken in German or English and in certain cases in Arabic.

As you prepare for your law school enrollment journey, it is important to know not just how to navigate the application process, but how to conduct yourself professionally as you interact with admission representatives and other members of your prospective law school community. How should you respond to scenarios such as being waitlisted or drafting a scholarship appeal? Are there different expectations for in-person versus virtual conversations?
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, March 24, from 3-4 p.m. ET for a free webinar for aspiring law students that will focus on expectations and tips for applicants with regards to communicating professionally throughout the admissions process. Our esteemed panel of admission deans will discuss topics such as:
• Navigating waitlists
• Scholarship offers and appeals
• Virtual and in-person discussions with admission professionals and others
• And more…
You will also have an opportunity to have your questions answered by the experts.
This webinar will be hosted by Gisele Joachim, director of LSAC ambassadors and education program development, and is designed for individuals interested in pursuing legal education. We encourage you to share this information with others in your network who may wish to attend.
