My Life Of Saving
MY name is Namala Aidah, I go to Kiwatule Primary School, I am 14 years old and I’m in P.6. I live with my mother, as my mother and father divorced; he seems not to care much about us. Before Aflatoun I wasn’t happy as I couldn’t save money, I would simply work at some hotels during holidays to gain some money.
Right now I am a member of the Aflatoun Club and I have saved 1,500 shillings last term, this term I saved 5,000 shillings, I plan on using this money to pay for my school fees and when I withdraw the money I would keep the money to then add it to the money I gained on holidays.
An issue I’m concerned about is divorce. My parents are divorced and my dad is in the village and doesn’t care about us at all. Though my mother is happy for me being in Aflatoun and supports me with some money for saving.
