For the past 3 years Boutiq Foundation has been running a community studio in Bunga, Kampala, Uganda called (Boutiq Studios) open to all underground artists who are pushing or want to push boundaries with their music. The studio has hosted many international and local musicians over the years including The riddlore?, Art Melody Art Melody. A space for screenings, conversations and project calls related to documentary film. A place to share a good story and a good film, and hopefully to build a nice community. The club will also serve as a starting point for a 15 week documentary course.

We are really excited to be hosting for the next month Sound Artist Alyssa Moxley and French photographer and filmmaker Stéphane Charpentier in Uganda for a residency. Alyssa is also the director and curator of the excellent Kinisi Music Festival and Stephan is the curator of the roving Photography exhibition 'Temps Zero' http://tempszero.com/. Expect a lot of exciting new projects to be coming out of this.

We are proud to announce that Arnold Aganze's film THE NGO, that was co-produced by Boutiq Foundation has won a special mention at the Carthage International Film Festival in Tunis and we are now waiting for the official invitation to the prestigious Fespaco in Burkina Faso, fingers crossed!
