Worked along with Sr. Kasongo Lwisa, Sr. Mbotwa Rosemary and many more xaverians. It spread to parished like Kayambi Mission, Chilonga in Mpika district where it was formed by Fr. Chomba.

The problem

One of the major impediments to Uganda’s transformation into a middle-income society and better is the lack of a well-prepared workforce. This is a big frustration for the investors both local and foreign since they lack the right managers to entrust with their businesses. This kills investment. The Ugandan workforce is found wanting in technical skills and the right attitude to provide a suitable managerial stewardship to enable businesses to thrive and return value to the investor.

We have observed a problem in our society and we want to provide a solution that is beneficial to our society at large.

The Apprentices program
We provide training and internship opportunities to graduate students under the Management Apprentices’ Programme that provides them with valuable exposure to understand the intricacies of social transformation. It is an opportunity for the young men and women to understand the meaning of Money and its management; to understand Investment and the investor, and to appreciate the meaning of business.
We explore the business planning techniques, budgeting and strategy formulation.
We reflect on how to record business transaction on an understandable manner using computer software. We reflect on the taxation and its management, and finally we reflect on the available IT resources to enhance our business management capabilities.

Through a ready pool of potent human resource with the right moral attitude to take care of the investors’ resources, we form a conducive business environment for the investors and entrepreneurs to create jobs. *Charity - Forever*

Today for Xaverian Knowledge, let's remind our selves about :

*THE XAVERIAN VIRTUES AND OTHER VIRTUES*

By definition, a *virtue* is a good habit that enables a person to àct according to right reason enlightened by faith.

- whatever is true
- whatever is
honorable
- whatever is pure
- whatever is lovely
- whatever is gracious

A *virtue* is an habitual , a firm disposition to do the good . We can simply put it as *VIRTUE* = *GOOD HARBIT*

1. *THE XAVERIAN VIRTUES*

The xaverian virtues are 4 derived from the written material of Fr. George Defour, they are as follows :

- *Obedience - Obuwulize*

- *Fortitude - Obuvumu*

- *Purity - Obutukuvu*

- *Loyalty - Obwesigwa*

In Kampala Archdiocese, those virtues are not complimented by other beautiful words as it is in other countries .
As the training Coordinator, I tried to find where the supplementaly words are derived from and found them incorporated the explanatio ns of virtues in the *"Xaverian law"* handbook.
They do not change the originality of the virtue but beautifies it.

In some countries you will hear phrases like :

-Obedience ... *be the guide*
- Fortitude ... *Always courageous*
- Purity ... *Be clean*
- Loyalty ... *Tell the truth whatever it cost*

All the above is okay, the key aspect is on understanding the vitue and above all , *Living it*.

2. *OTHER VIRTUES*
Under this title , we will talk about the other two types of *virtues* which are taught by the Church ( cardinal and spiritual)

2.1. *the three theological virtues*

- *HOPE*
- *FAITH* and
- *LOVE*
These virtues can be found in the Bible (1Cor 13 : 13)

2.2 *the four cardinal virtues*

- *PRUDENCE*
- *JUSTICE*
- *FORTITUDE* and
- *TEMPERANCE*

N.B : So as xaverians we are supposed to be characterized by the three types of virtues owing it to that we are Catholics before we become xaverians .

*AS WE DO GOOD AND LIVE THE LAW OF CHARITY, WE OUGHT AS XAVERIANS TO LIVE TO OUR CHRISTIAN CALLING

St. Francis Xavier was born on 7th April 1506 in Navarre Spain. At 19years went to Paris France. At that time he wanted to obtain earthly honours and Glory. He met Ignatius who reminded him of the gospel: What is the use of gaining the whole world while losing our own soul? St Francis Xavier mediated upon those words and decided to give his life to God. On15th August Ignatius, Francis and dive others vowed to God to serve Him alone at the Chapel of Montmartre for God. On the same day they founded the society of Jesus. Francis become priest on 24th June 1537. In 1542 he was sent topagan Lands to teach religion. He went to India, Japan and fever caught him as he was on that point of going to China. He died on 3rd December 1552. His body was brought back to Goa India and was buried in honour. St. Francis Xavier teaches us to care for the salvation of others through generosity, apostolic zeal and love of God and neighbor.

THE XAVERIAN MAIN VIRTUES.
• Obedience. It calls upon xaverians to obey not only the movement but also every superior. Be it teachers, parents, village leaders, clan/tribe leaders among others.
• Fortitude. Calls upon being courageous in everything we do and in all aspect. Be in physical or emotional, a xaveria must be strong and courageous enough to sacrifice himself for others.
• Purity. Calls us to start from our body. Respect it as though its for Jesus. Keep clean and be neat always. Also calls for free from immoral behavior. Be pure by words and actions.
• Loyalty. Calls for faithfulness and devotion. Be faithful to your promise an tell the truth whatever it costs.
