Kids of Katwe in rehearsal. They can only practice on weekends as the building they use is a rental and the owner provides time for them when it's not in use. Their ultimate goal is to have their own space.

Welcome to the new page for the Kids of Katwe: Spirit of Uganda performance troupe. There will be more photos and information coming as restrictions in Uganda are now softening and the kids are preparing to do some serious performing. They have been learning traditional as well as modern music and no matter how tough their lives are, living in this slum, the Kids of Katwe are a joyous and hopeful bunch of kids.
