*RE: EXTENSION OF GRC ELECTIONS.*

Salutations to the entire MUBS fraternity, last week the Guild Elections were cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances and are to be held at a date yet to be communicated by ELECTORAL COMMISSION.

That also caused an impact on the *OFF CAMPUS ,PWD GRC AND CLASS GRC* Elections, The ELECTORAL COMMISSION informs whoever had shown interest that the time for picking nomination forms is to be extended.
The voting period of the Grcs can hardly happen before Guild Presidential Elections implying we shall still communicate when GRC Elections will take place.

Keep mobilising your people and keep expressing your interest as a GRC to be.

ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF MUBS .
Warm greetings to the entire MUBS fraternity, I appreciate every student that has shown interest into these forth coming elections including GUILD PRESIDENT , OFF CAMPUS GRC, GRC , SPEAKERS' CHAMBERS among others.

The ELECTORAL COMMISSIONwas sworn in on Friday December 10th 2021 at 3:00pm, this was long waited since the day we were voted for.

The ELECTORAL COMMISSION is ready to publish it's ROAD MAP since it's the driver of every election this will be through the PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE immediately after the SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION approves it but not later than Tuesday for issues of funds since the ELECTORAL PROCESS runs on a budget.

I appreciate everyone who has invested in his or her time and efforts to ensure that this process shortens for Students to embark onto their main stay in the institution (ACADEMICS)

STAKEHOLDERS MEETING.
The EC held a consultative meeting with the Presidential aspirants for the forthcoming General elections.

In the meeting , the aspirants shared their expectations and also what observations they made in the previous guild elections that are pertinent for having a credible election.

The EC promised to release the road map early in the next week.
In attendance were the following aspirants:
1. Valentine Ogwang Jr
2. Joseph Bagumirabingi Anthony
3. Rogers Kiyega Edward
4.Kakayi Ni**od
5.Abisinguza Arnold
6. Kabaseke Edward Ssempijja.

MUBS EC 2021 TAKES OATH.
The Makerere University Business School Electoral Commission has finally taken oath today Friday 10 December,2021.

It should be remembered that this EC was instituted on the 24 November by the Guild house in line With Article 75(1).

As required by Article 75(7), the Legal Advisor_ Counsel Brian Kajubi presided over the swearing in of the Electoral Commission.
The Commission has henceforth started on their duties.

It's now time for us the EC to Leave a Legacy.

Katumba Raymond was democratically elected on the 24 November 2021 as the new Chair person for the MUBS Electoral Commission. He was racing against Nicholas Ongom Derrick.
It's now the time for Hon Katumba Raymond to put into action his slogan of "Leaving a Legacy"
