When I started in network marketing, I thought success would come from just sharing my link and waiting.

I was wrong.

What I’ve learned:
✅ People join people, not just companies
✅ Learning how to talk, listen, and follow up is 80% of the work
✅ Mindset is your first product

Don’t just chase the next trend — build skills.

Oqata Team Training. - HOW TO INSTANTLY GET RID OF OUR FEAR OF SELLING.

Dear Team,

Does selling make us feel a little weird?
Do our friends hate it when we tell them that we are trying to make money off them?
Do we feel embarrassed when people are skeptical of our claims?
Do we feel like we are imposing our solutions on people who don’t want to buy?

Yes, it can get worse than this, but let’s fix this problem.

By simply changing how we think, we can instantly get rid of our fear of selling and all of the negative feedback that comes with it.

So, stop looking at selling as a win-lose encounter, a life-or-death battle, or a winner-take-all competition.

Instead, let’s look at our business differently.

Let’s say to ourselves:
“My job is to offer one more option for people’s lives.”

That’s it.
We don’t know what is happening in their lives. We don’t know if today is a good day, or if today was filled with drama. It is up to the people we contact to decide if our product option could help them now, in the future, or never.

Now we don’t have to sell. We don’t have to convince. And we don’t have to make our listeners uncomfortable.

With this new viewpoint about our role in adding one more option to our potential customer’s life, we won’t suffer rejection or bad feelings.

Now we can share our products and services with no stress or agenda.
Having an agenda scares people and creates a wall of resistance. This new type of thinking takes the pressure off our contacts as well.

There is nothing for them to reject. We won’t be telling them what to do, or trying to make decisions for them. We will be adding value to their lives.

How? By giving them one more option that they can choose now, in the future, or never.

So the next time we talk to someone about our products, and we feel a bit of pushback or resistance, we can say this:

“You have a lot of choices in your life. Let me add one more option. Then you will have an additional choice when the time comes to solve your problem.”

Now, that is polite.

Oqata Team Training - HOW OUR NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS REALLY WORKS.

Dear Team,
Do you have goals, desires, motivation, needs, vision boards? That’s not enough.
We need to deliver value in return for our commissions.
Our network marketing company does not pay commissions based on our efforts.
Our network marketing company does not pay commissions based on our needs.
Our network marketing company pays commissions based on results only.
This is NOT a job where we receive a paycheck for hours worked.

This is our own business. We receive commissions based upon our results.
Our network marketing company pays us on the value we bring to them through our customers. So it is all about results.
Here is the big picture.
A network marketing company can be in the nutrition business, the skincare business, the natural products business, the travel business, etc.

We (Distributors) are not part of the company.
We don’t work in customer service.
We don’t mail out invoices and bills.
We are not picking secret herbs underneath rocks in China at midnight with leprechauns to put them into a special formulation.
We don’t even put skincare creams inside the jars or apply the labels.

Therefore, our network marketing company does all of this for us.
They provide the website, brochures, and they can service customers without us. Plus, we don’t want to be part of our network marketing company, because this would be yet another job!
Our company can do everything except ... get people to make a “Yes” decision to buy.
So, our network marketing company partners with us and says, “We will do everything. Websites, customer service, manufacturing, billing ... everything.

This is our part of the agreement. Your part of the agreement as a distributor is to get people to make ‘Yes’ decisions to become customers.”
Breaking news.
So here it is. As network marketing distributors, our business is getting people to make “Yes” decisions to become customers.
We are in the decision-making business.
We are not in the skincare, wellness, services, or travel business. Once we understand that we have joined the decision-making business, we understand that we only get paid for “Yes” decisions.

Are you skeptical of this viewpoint that we are in the “Yes” decision business? Let’s ask ourselves these questions:
Is there a commission for us on people who almost bought our product?
Is there a commission for us when we hand out free samples?
Is there a commission for us for educating people about our product?
Is there a commission for us when people see our presentation and do not buy?
Is there a commission for us when people don’t take our phone calls?
Is there a commission for us when we work endless hours and don’t get “Yes” decisions?
Is there a commission for us when we throw skincare cream on the back of a person’s neck as she is running away?
Is there a commission for us when we invest in business cards and advertising, and drive endless miles to appointments that don’t work out?
Is there a commission for us when we make a list of 200 people that we are afraid to call?
Is there a commission for us because we “need” it?
Is there a commission for us when we put pictures on our vision board?
Is there a commission for us for not approaching potential customers?
Is there a commission for us on all the people we didn’t talk to?

The reality is this.
The only thing our network marketing companies pay us for is the only thing they want us to do ... and that is to get “Yes” decisions.
Once we know which business we are in (the business of getting “Yes” decisions), then the rest of this series training will be easy.
We will focus on what is important: getting “Yes” decisions.
I am sure we all sell wonderful products. But no matter how wonderful our products are, if customers don’t buy them, we don’t get paid.
If we want our wonderful products to help people, we have to get people to buy our wonderful products. Start our new career now.

Let’s move forward to our next training (How to instantly get rid of our fear of selling.) to remove any hesitation that we have about selling. We don’t want negative internal thoughts about selling to hold us back.

Retail sales generate instant profits. What a great way to start off our business. Satisfied customers create a steady monthly recurring income. All we have to do is allow our customers to buy, and service them as needed.
