🌍 Day 1 Recap | Future of Work Tour 2026 – Addis Ababa

Theme: Modern Work Models for Work–Life Integration
Facilitated by Recheal Ainembabazi

We explored the difference between work–life balance and work–life integration — and why integration is a more realistic and empowering model for today’s women.

We reflected on how women naturally juggle multiple roles: home, children, careers, and community.
Rather than striving for a perfect balance, we learned that integration allows all parts of life to work together, not compete.

We discussed the legacy of women who changed history despite working within systems that were never built for them.
Work–life integration was framed as our opportunity to rewrite those systems and shape the future on our own terms.

This conversation marked the beginning of a powerful shift for the women.

🎓 DAY 3 RECAP: Celebration, Inclusion & Digital Acceleration

Nessri Abdella opened the morning with an empowering, tech-forward session on Leveraging Technology to Grow Your Business. She guided participants through the possibilities of using digital tools to scale smarter, automate processes, and amplify their business impact. The room lit up as participants saw how technology could unlock new levels of efficiency and growth.

Juliyana Mirach followed with a thought-provoking session on Gender Inclusivity in Business. Her message was bold and necessary: real innovation and progress require inclusive leadership. She challenged participants to reflect on their own biases, explore equitable practices, and recognize the value of diverse voices in entrepreneurship. Her call to "be the woman you needed when you started" left a lasting impression.

The event concluded with a heartfelt certificate ceremony and group photo.This wasn’t just the end of a program it was the launch of a new wave of inclusive, tech-savvy, and impact-driven leaders.

🚀 DAY 2 — Business Innovation & Leadership Transformation

Recheal Ainembabazi guided participants through a powerful journey of bringing their business ideas to life. She helped them define the real-world problems they aim to solve, identify their target customers, and craft value-driven solutions. Participants explored how their ideas could generate income, scale sustainably, and stand out in the marketplace.

Through guided exercises, they challenged their assumptions, shaped clear strategies, and practised communicating their vision with clarity and confidence. The day concluded with each participant pitching their refined business model to their peers, turning ideas into compelling stories of purpose and impact.

Day 1 of the Future of Work Tour: Ethiopia Edition

We officially kicked off the Future of Work Tour with an impressive turnout of over 70 women participants. The energy in the room was tangible as we dove into our Day 1, led by Recheal Ainembabazi .rach , who kicked off two powerful sessions on Designing for Well-being & Life Integration. Participants explored taking an honest check of where they are and what they need to be and how to integrate work, purpose, and life responsibilities, while identifying gaps in their work and mapping next steps.

Juliyana Woldeab guided participants through an insightful session on Emotional Intelligence & Personality Traits, helping them deepen their self-awareness and understand how their unique temperaments shape their leadership style and a working culture in their enterprises.
