Today, we take a moment to celebrate Hajjat Lutalo Kisitu Rehema, a proud member of Blue West House, on her appointment as Head Teacher of Mariam High School.

We have full confidence in her leadership, vision, and the values she embodies as a Nabisunsa Old Girl. We are certain she is well suited for this role and will make meaningful strides and lasting impact as she leads Mariam High School to greater heights.

As she takes on this noble responsibility, we pray that Allah grants her wisdom, strength, and guidance to serve with excellence, integrity, and distinction.

Congratulations, Hajjat Lutalo Rehema. We are proud of you and are confident in the journey ahead.

With immense pride and joy, the Old Girls Association of Nabisunsa (OGAN) congratulates Hajjat Janat Namujuzi Kakumba (Class of 1991–1996) on her appointment as the Head Teacher of Nabisunsa Girls’ School.

This is our very own returning home to serve, and we have full confidence in her leadership, vision, and deep understanding of the values that define a Nabisunsa girl. We are certain she is the right person for this role and that she will make great strides and bold, positive moves as she leads our beloved alma mater forward.

We celebrate this milestone and pray that Allah grants her wisdom, strength, and guidance to execute this responsibility with excellence and distinction.

We are pleased to profile Dr. Mina Nakawuka Class of 1990–1992, White Hall, as our Personality of the Day.

Dr. Mina Nakawuka is a senior public health specialist and nationally recognized HIV Care and Treatment expert with over 20 years of progressive leadership in clinical medicine, health systems strengthening, policy development, research, and strategic program management.

She currently serves as Senior Program Officer and National Team Lead for Adult HIV Care and Treatment at the Ministry of Health, Uganda, where she provides national leadership toward achieving epidemic control and the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets.

Trained as a medical doctor at Makerere University and holding a Master of Public Health from Uganda Martyrs University, Dr. Nakawuka’s career spans district, national, regional, and global health systems. She began her professional journey at local government level, supporting the early rollout of antiretroviral therapy (ART) and coordinating multi-stakeholder HIV responses in Kampala. This grounding in frontline service delivery shaped her strong systems-oriented and people-centered leadership approach.

The Old Girls Association of Nabisunsa joins the class of 1988–1991 as they mourn the passing of their beloved sister, Jennifer Katende of Green East House, who passed away on 26th December 2025. Jennifer had been living outside the country for some time.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
May Jennifer’s soul rest in eternal peace.

Ladies, we’re in the final stretch..
Join us this Saturday, 22nd Nov at 10am for an online update on the Main Entrance Project.

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we join the Class of 1991–1997 in mourning the passing of our beloved sister and Old Girl, Nabiwemba Fatumah.

Fatumah served with dedication and integrity for 22 years in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), rising to the position of Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 12th July 2025 at 2:00 PM in Kammengo Village, Kyotera District.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, classmates, and colleagues.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.

We join the Class of 2009–2014 in mourning the loss of our dear friend, sister, and Old Girl of Nabisunsa Girls’ School, Kagoya Priscilla; after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Priscilla’s warmth, strength, and light touched many, and her memory will forever remain with us.

Details regarding funeral arrangements and further engagements will be communicated in due course.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
