Answers on DRC's Complex Political Questions:

1. Patrice Lumumba, the first elected Prime Minister of DRC was murdered because he stood up against foreign occupation and Imperialism.

2. The UN refused to protect Patrice Lumumba because the Belgians and Americans didn't want him to be protected. UN works when US "okays" it. The US was coldly against Lumumba's contacts with the soviets hence planned for his assassination.

3. The Belgians refused to leave DRC after independence because independence came as a surprised to them. They were not prepared to grant it but Lumumba insisted and was granted within a short period. The Belgians weren't done with the looting.

4. Mobutu betrayed Lumumba, his friend because he was approached by the CIA and offered protection and cash if he can oust or aid in murdering his friend.

5. The UN refused to allow Ghanaian forces to es**rt Lumumba in his escape because Nkrumah (then President of Ghana) had instructed his forces to do whatever possible to ensure Lumumba's safety. The UN knew that.

6. The forces behind the secession of Katanga province were the Belgian corporations, who wanted to stay in DRC in order to loot more. They had the backing of Belgium government, USA and UK.

7. The UN Secretary General, Dag Hammarskjöld was killed by the Belgian hired mercenaries with backing from France and US. He was against the secession of Katanga hence murdered on his way to negotiate with Tshombe.

8. Kasavubu was the weak link in DRC political hierarchy or a puppet of foreign powers, hence acting on their orders. Tshombe came back after he fled to Spain to be elected as Prime Minister with a bigger picture of becoming president. Kasavubu saw the threat and ousted him.

9. The UN allowed Mobutu to rampage DRC without questions simply because he had the backing of USA who gave him the power ab initio.

10. Etienne Tshisekedi was not in the interest of foreign powers and not a fierce competitor of Mobutu. He had a soft spot for Mobutu or was afraid of Mobutu.

11. Laurent Kabila's goal was to lead DRC, no matter what. He dumped Kagame and Museveni because he saw them as a threat and friends of foreign powers.

12. Laurent Kabila was murdered since he was not interested in solving the tribal conflicts, a situation that interested foreign powers to create way for constant looting.

13. Joseph Kabila and Antoine Gizenga added the son of Mobutu to their alliance in order to win votes from the North-West, Mobutu's strong hold.
