YOU CAN FIND REST

Like the Israelites who were constantly faced with war with the different tribes of people in the Promised Land, life is like that with us. You get rid of one problem then another takes it place. And you wonder: Will I ever get any rest from the struggle? Will I ever gain complete victory over the enemy in my life and find peace? The good news is yes! You can get rest from the struggle and challenges in life. In Joshua chapter 11, with God’s help, the Israelites finally had rest from their enemies in the promised land. Beloved, God wants you to look to Him for help when you are in trouble. If you want to find rest from the struggle in your own life, depend on God’s power, and rely on His promises to you. If you would trust the Lord and put all your confidence in Him, He WILL defeat the enemies who come against you one by one and give you rest.

LET GOD ARISE

Psalm 68:1 says "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered. To “let” God arise means you have to allow God to arise in your thoughts. You focus on His greatness and His power. When you let God arise, you make Him bigger than your problems, bigger than any sickness and bigger than any financial trouble. The bigger you make God, the smaller your problems become, and the more faith will rise in your heart. The enemy is always trying to get us to let the problem arise and look big. That’s why it’s so important to keep your focus on God and how powerful He is all through the day. Instead of worrying, thinking about all the things that are wrong and what might not work out, turn all that worry time into worship time. That’s not just being positive, that’s letting God arise to go to work on your behalf.

CLOSED DOORS CAN’T KEEP YOU OUT

Psalm 18:29 says 'For by You(God) I can crash an army and by my God I can leap over a wall." People can’t lock you out of your destiny—not your boss, not your critics, nor your enemies. They may shut a door, but God can take you right through it. God can move someone out of the way who’s holding you back. What God has destined for your life will override anyone or anything trying to stop you. Just keep honoring God, being your best, and He will get you to where you need to be. Trust His timing and don’t be impatient because a door hasn’t opened yet. God knows what He’s doing, He’s not going to let you miss out. So stay in peace; your time is coming. Closed doors can’t keep you from what God has purposed for you.

IF JESUS HAD NOT COME...

It is written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Beloved, if Jesus had not come, our sins would be unforgiven. In Bible days you needed a priest to petition God on your behalf. And Jesus is our High Priest who takes away our sins and intercede on our behalf. So if Jesus had not come, our prayers would be unanswered. And if Jesus had not come the first time, we would have no assurance that He will come the second time and take us away to heaven to be with Himself. So if you have believed in Jesus and surrendered your life to Him, be confident that you will spend everlasting life with Him.
