The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the 2025 National Assessment of Progress in Education (NAPE) Report, which indicates improved learning outcomes among lower secondary school learners. However, the report also highlights persistent gaps in the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), underscoring the need for continued efforts to strengthen its delivery.

Today, Friday, 31st July 2026, marks the final day for late registration of prospective candidates for this year's Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.

All School Heads and Directors are urged to ensure that every eligible learner in candidate classes is duly registered before the deadline. No learner should be left behind.

In the series, Mr. Odongo launched the Service Delivery Standards Framework, at Hotel Africana, during the retreat of Lower Mangers, 22nd July, 2026. The Framework has been developed to provide clear service commitments, performance, expectations and accountability mechanisms for UNEB.
According to the UNEB Chairperson Prof. Celestino Obua, the framework is a ‘ significant milestone in strengthening the Board’s commitment to providing quality, reliable, transparent , and stakeholder-cantered assessment services.’
While launching the Framework, the Executive Director, Mr. Dan N. Odongo, stressed that the Service Delivery Standards are not only a statement of what UNEB provides, but also a commitment to how we provide it. They reinforce our responsibility to deliver services that are timely, fair, secure, transparent, and focused on stakeholder satisfaction.

The Corporate Profile was also launched along with the Client Charter. is developed in accordance with the UNEB Act, CAP 259, the Education Act 2008, the UNEB Strategic Plan 2020/21-2024/25, as well the ISO 9001:2015 guidelines. It is aimed at helping the Board to further streamline its information flow to the public, create more awareness about our services and further strengthen our relationship with the various stakeholders.
