From the Equator to the summit we are climbing higher with Uganda Mountain Slayers as our official partners for the ascent of Mount Stanley! 🏔

Mount Stanley, at 5,109 meters (16,763 ft), is the third highest peak in Africa. It's rare glaciers and “Mountains of the Moon” legend remind us that great challenges bring even greater rewards.

With Eye Health Africa, Ubora Foundation Africa, and now Uganda Mountain Slayers, every step up this mountain becomes a step toward restoring sight and empowering healthcare professionals.

We proudly launched a campaign at Uganda House that bridges communities across continents, strengthening health systems and restoring sight. Alongside Eye Health Africa and Ubora Foundation Africa, we are proving that courage, care as community can change the future of healthcare.

👩🏽‍⚕️ Empowering Healthcare Professionals
▪️ Nurses, midwives, and doctors from Uganda are gaining OET training and career advancement support in the UK.
▪️ Contributions are removing financial barriers and creating opportunities for global health leadership.

👁 Restoring Vision & Community Care
▪️ With various partnerships patients received specialized eye surgeries and chronic disease care.
▪️ Families are celebrating as loved ones regain their sight.

📚 Education, Awareness & Volunteerism
▪️ School programs, university partnerships and volunteer projects are strengthening healthcare delivery.
▪️ Every act of service builds resilience and impact.

Highlights from the ROP project:

📈 From a target of 10, over 54 healthcare workers trained

🏥 Hoima Regional Referral Hospital equipped for neonatal eye screening

📑 4 new research publications generated

📋 Advocacy for inclusion of neonatal eye screening in Ministry of Health guidelines

This is capacity building in action — creating systems that remain long after the project ends.
