Introducing Ms. Lilian Nakalyowa Kisekka, the dynamic Team Lead of "Train Up a Leader!" Lilian is an advocate for mental resilience, career development, and leadership in Uganda. With her unique insights into mental health, she's transforming the landscape of youth development through her organizationâs focus on guiding young leaders and offering career counseling in secondary schools. Her life mantra, âYou canât stop the waves, but you can learn to surf,â perfectly encapsulates her approach to handling lifeâs unpredictable transitions.
At "The Last Lecture", Lilian will tackle the topic, âMental Health Resilience: Coping with Transition Beyond Campus.â And letâs be honestânavigating life post-graduation can feel like being tossed into a chaotic ocean without a life jacket. Graduates often encounter identity crises, unemployment woes, and the inevitable pressure to âadultâ overnight. Lilianâs session will provide a practical toolkit to help graduates find their footing when reality slaps harder than the deadlines did in university.
Think of this session as a life raft for anyone struggling to cope with the real worldâs mental health challengesâstress, anxiety, and the uncertainty of the future. Lilianâs wisdom, paired with her trademark sense of humor, will help you ride those waves instead of being dragged under. Missing this talk? Letâs just say, not attending would be like jumping into those choppy post-graduation waters without even attempting to learn how to swim.
Be sure to catch Lilian at "The Last Lecture"âitâs the only life lesson you wonât want to sleep through!

Can we make an effort to reduce disruptive behaviours among our Children?
Yes we can redirect the bad to good behaviours
-Can we give them attention & hear them out ?
-Enlighten to them the negative -consequences of their behaviours
Can we set limits to the way we react when they anger us?
Let us know when to respond and avoid reacting every time.
Let us try to be calm and cool our emotions when we catch them in the wrong
Lastly we not always expect the best, times are always there for the badneclss as well, let's be prepared and reward the positive behaviour
