In late January, the Director Kitojo Empowered Girls School was able to meet a long term sponsor, friend, parent , partner for the first time physically. It was such an honour and previledge. Thank you so much for the trust Doug Calder.

Dear Kitojo family,

After posting our update for Faith und Agatha, we had some discussion in our team about posting single photos of our girls in social media. It is a main problem of all charity organisations, on the one hand to document the progress of the project in an attracting way and in the other hand to protect the right of privacy of the vulnerabale children. While group photos not focussing single children and are less problematic, portrait photos of single children are exposing them directly to the whole world-wide-web. Photos we are sharing via social media will remain in the internet forever and are easy to copy and to steal. We are aware about the problem of misappropriation of childrens photos in the internet and are currently trying to find a solution for that. To achieve this, we need your help. In the following we are presenting you one idea to make attractive posts for our sponsorship category and at the same time to protect the children's privacy with making them harder to recognize. Please tell us your honest opinion about the following paintings! Do you Like the Idea? Do you dislike the Idea? Do you maybe have another great idea for making attractive posts without hurting children's privacy? Please let us know. We are excited, about your answers.

We have a lot going on over here at the Empower Kitojo project...

We're setting up a GoFundMe organized by one of our international advisors in the U.S., we've designed a brand new website and are working to get everything up and running, we're establishing methods of receiving donations to make it easy on those who want to support us, and let's just say....there are so many moving parts.

This is all on top of our day-to-day in person needs at KEGS, including our immediate needs such as funding for the teachers and electricity, and of course keeping our mission to provide a safe space for girls to get an education.

We're navigating all of this as best we can, as we learn & grow.

Recently, one of our board members reminded us to stay focused on progress, not perfection, and we thought it would be a good thing to share.

It's a good reminder for us all and to celebrate all the wins, no matter how big!

Here is to celebrating the baby steps, no matter how small and no matter how imperfect! And as another mentor of ours once said "Done is better than none!".

Thank you for being here as we grow this movement, create a global family of caretakers and change the lives of the women in Kitojo.

The menstruation in young girls has no specific age, the girls miss school because they have no way to manage them .

What a great opportunity to Kitojoempoweredgirlsproject to receive 20 kits of reusable pads to girls and the training donated by mr. Doug Calder . The girls are so much happy and hoping for the great future through quality education.
