COVID deaths leave thousands of Ugandan kids grieving but many schools remain under lockdown!
Thank your supporting our needy children and orphans during this lock down
Pray for Uganda Children🙏🏾
Covid-19 Pandemic Fueling Child Labor: Many children feel they have no choice but to work to help their families survive, but a rise in child labor is not an inevitable consequence of the pandemic.
The head teacher verbzed his frustration “inter district travel ban has hindered our teachers seriously. They can't move to their homes (districts) for any food support and it's just few days off the lockdown so we don't what will happen to us. The situation is tougher than that of the first lockdown bse we used to beg for food from our relatives of other districts unlike now.”
We are praying for a grant to help teachers and hospice staff go through the 42 lockdown days

Mr Cleophas Mugenyi, the director of basic education, yesterday said following the planned reopening of schools on October 15, the Directorate of Education Standards (DES) will inspect all education institutions and those which fall short of the standards will remain closed.”

The pandemic brought isolation, and when people have to stay home, domestic violence, drug use, and sexual abuse all increase. “There’s a huge surge in kids that need care. Here at our academy, we try minimize that trend by keeping some of our orphans active like learning new life skills. Thank you, we appreciate your support 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Some of our orphans don’t sit and wait for a handout but engage in self actualization and engage in raising their next term school fees and tuition by making bricks.

Borrowed

05/04/2020

My daughter sent a text message to a friend, in hopes of having her question answered quickly. Her phone’s messaging service showed that the recipient had read the message, so she waited anxiously for a reply. Mere moments passed, yet she grew frustrated, groaning her annoyance at the delay. Irritation eroded into worry; she wondered whether the lack of response meant there was a problem between them. Eventually a reply came and my daughter was relieved to see their relationship was fine. Her friend had simply been sorting out the details needed to answer the question.

The Old Testament prophet Daniel also anxiously awaited a reply. After receiving a frightening vision of great war, Daniel fasted and sought God through humble prayer (10:3, 12). For three weeks, he received no reply (vv. 2, 13). Finally, an angel arrived and assured Daniel his prayers had been heard “since the first day.” In the meantime, the angel had been battling on behalf of those prayers. Though Daniel didn’t know it at first, God was at work during each of the twenty-one days that elapsed between his first prayer and the angel’s coming.
