💻✨ A New Dawn for Girls in Tech!
On 23rd October 2025, UN Women in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and GIZ inaugurated the Eastern Region African Girls Can Code (AGCCI) ICT Hub at Wanyange Girls’ Secondary School, Jinja.

The hub will train girls in coding, robotics, web development & digital entrepreneurship — equipping them to thrive in the digital economy.

Guests included Ms. Adekemi Ndieli (UN Women), Dr. Hajjat Safina Musene (MoES), and Mr. Kisambira Eria (Jinja DEO).

Together, they reaffirmed that empowering girls with digital skills means building a smarter, more inclusive future.

🌍 Let’s keep supporting our girls to code, innovate & lead!

Mid-Week Learning at Wanyange Girls’! 🌱

On Tuesday afternoon, our dedicated teaching team gathered for a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) session under the STiR Education Programme (Term 3).

The session focused on collaborative learning strategies such as Pair-Think-Share and Placemat, designed to make classrooms more interactive, inclusive, and engaging. These approaches promote critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and respect for every learner’s ability.

At Wanyange Girls’, we believe that when teachers grow together, learners thrive. Continuous learning keeps our educators inspired and ready to nurture creativity and excellence in every classroom. 🌸
