P1 and P2 sang a song about the 12 disciples and performed a skit about the good samaritan.

Today we are celebrating the achievements of each class. The morning started with nursery singing songs, write words they have learned to spell and identify number names.

Work has begun! We are getting our floor concreted. Not only will this make the classrooms look better but will also prevent the risk of jiggers in there too. They like to live in sand and soil so they won't like the environment in the classrooms anymore.

We currently have two fundraising projects running.

:) Project 1: The first one is to raise school fees for Rayan and Rahim so they can be back in school. We still need $70 to make this possible. If you feel you would like to help these boys get back into school, please donate using the link below. We need family and friends to support this project. :) Project 2: We are raising money to complete all the floors at school. This will make sure all classrooms are cleaner and more comfortable for students, teachers and visitors.
To do this, we would like to ask our local community, friends and family to sponsor a classroom/section. All sponsors names will be put on a plaque and displayed in those areas for all to see.
Below is a list showing the areas and the amounts we are looking to raise in order to complete the floors for students to enjoy!

As an organisation we have signed up to donorsee. DonorSee is an online fundraising platform which allows donors to see how their money makes a difference through the video footage we post.
Our first project is to raise school fees for two of our students. This project has to be raised through family, friends and other connections before donorSee starts sharing our projects to others. It would be great if you could help us raise this money.

Rahim and Rayan come from a low income family. Unfortunately, their parents were unable to complete the payment of fees last term and were sent home. They haven't returned to school for term 3 yet because they are still trying to find the money to pay for them.
We are raising money to pay for their fees for term 2 and term 3 so they can return to school and continue their learning.

Today is world music day. Here at Harmony Community School we are celebrating by taking part in lots of activities.

Our students love their weekly Chapel sessions.
We feel it is important for all students of all religions to participate as it brings everyone together as a community and a family.

Why is it always expected that students in P7 must always sit at desks for a whole lesson? At Harmony Community School, we believe that students also learn through hands on activities. This week, students in P7 maths have been drawing on the floor with chalk to test their own learning and development before attempting to answer written questions.

We believe that it is extremely important to find a balance when teaching as every child learns differently.
