Bukoyo Secondary School

Bukoyo Secondary School This is a moslem founded school located in Eastern Uganda ( Iganga District) Bukoyo Secondary School is highly ranked in the history of Eastern Uganda.

It is one of the Oldest Moslem Centres of Learning in the entire Busoga Region. The school started around 1937. In the same year, it was recognized by government. In 1952, the school became a Junior Secondary School. Then in 1956, Bukoyo was commissioned by the then Governor Andrew Cohen as a Mixed Junior Boarding School. It had a few permanent buildings at that time. Inspite of its age the school

attained Secondary School in May 1979, hence becoming an ‘O’ level Day Mixed Government Aided School. In 1985 ‘A’ level classes for both Arts and Sciences were introduced with a Boarding Section being introduced in May 1986
