YOBAC Organization Limited extends its heartfelt gratitude to our donors, the WES Foundation and Melisa, for their tremendous support in constructing three classrooms, now ready to shelter our Kindergarten students. Your support means a great deal to our community. Thank you for advocating for refugee children's right to education and supporting their human rights.
We continue to welcome additional donors to support our school, as there are still many pressing needs, including the construction of girls' toilets, four more classrooms, access to clean water for our students, and support for our dedicated teachers.

I am very delighted by the great things God has done for me and my community. Eight years ago, I was struggling to apply for a scholarship. In 2017, I applied to the MasterCard Foundation, but I was not considered. I didn’t give up, and in 2018, I tried again with the MasterCard Foundation, but still, I was not successful. After that, I also applied to Ashinaga, but I was not selected.

In 2021, I discussed my journey with my friend Adrielle, sharing all the steps I had taken. She connected me to the Kapadia Education Foundation (KEF), a foundation that sponsored my Bachelor's degree until completion. Thank you, Adrielle, thank you, Yazan, and thank you to the Kapadia Education Foundation.

Today, I am a graduate in Business Administration, a tool that is helping me manage our organization, YOBAC Organization, a refugee-led organization that provides access to quality education for refugee children from the Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries currently settled in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement.

Through the various skills I learned at university, I was able to organize the structure and governance of the organization. I want to express my deep appreciation to everyone who contributed to this milestone and send blessings to them all.

Children can experience mental health impacts from major storms, fires and other extreme events that are expected to increase with a changing climate, at YOBAC we are educating and engaging children, youth and adults in climate solutions by unleashing the creativity of our teachers and pupils to develop action projects in their homes, schools and communities.

We’re very excited to announce the construction of the teacher’s accommodation. 🛖👨🏿‍🏫🥣

With the new houses, the school kitchen will be sheltered and 6 teachers will be accommodated. This is an important milestone on our mission to promote better standards of living and provide education and life-skill training to refugees in the Hoima district, Uganda. 🇺🇬

Thanks to the generous donations and support, we were able to build this accommodation.
