To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the SCHOOL administration.

The TEACHER will develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives as outlined in the SCHOOL curriculum and or the Office curriculum of Uganda. He/she will facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organization of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.

The teacher will develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude. He/She will assess and record progress and prepare pupils for the Standard Assessment Tasks (SATs). He/She will link pupils' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage further, and challenge and inspire pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding

This will promote a secure foundation from which to achieve high standards in all areas of the school’s work. The Headteacher must play a lead role in establishing a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations for all pupils. The Headteacher is a leading professional in the school, accountable to the Director. The Headteacher assists in providing vision, leadership and direction for the school and helps to ensure that it is managed to meet its aims and targets. Working with the School Management Committe and others, the Headteacher will support evaluation of the school’s performance to identify the priorities for continuous improvement and raising standards; ensuring equality of opportunity for all and developing policies and practices. The Headteacher will take a shared responsibility for creating a productive learning environment which is engaging and fulfilling for all pupils
